The "Cambria" Horizontal Steam Boiler

The "Cambria" Horizontal Steam Boilers are a more economical version of our popular "Belmont" range of boilers. The "Cambria" series shares the same main pressure vessel and components as the "Belmont". We have been able to reduce the cost by removing some of the luxury types of components that are supplied as standard equipment with the Belmont range.  The  Cambria like the Belmont is a multi water tube type boiler that features a ceramic type burner. The “  Cambria” is painted in a gloss stove enamel epoxy for durability and features varnished mahogany lagging held to the boiler by polished stainless steel bands.

 

The Boiler’s main pressure vessel is constructed from only the finest quality U.S. manufactured heavy gauge copper tubing. Bronze threaded bushings are used through out the boiler’s construction to give a long hassle free durable life span. Only the highest quality and strength silver brazing materials are used for welding the main pressure vessel together. Each boiler is manufactured and tested in accordance with the legislation; Pressure Equipment Regulations 1999 SI NO.1999/2001 ("PER") P.E.D. 97/23/EC. Every boiler is issued a serial number with a Factory Test Certificate stating the Test Date, Manufactured Date, Test Pressure, and Maximum Working Pressure.

 

The Cambria Horizontal Boiler is not only a powerful well engineered efficient workhorse, but a true show piece you can be proud of to display in your model or collection for many years to come. With extra threaded bosses already installed in each boiler, each modeler has the flexibility to customize how their steam plant is laid out to suit their needs and add extra items such as one of our steam whistle kits or our Electronic Automatic Boiler Management Systems.
