Flanged 1/4"-40tpi boiler anti vacuum valve. The purpose of anti vacuum valves are to keep lubricating oils from entering the boiler. After the boiler has been shut down and is cooling off, a natural vacuum will occur allowing oils or debris to be drawn into the boiler from the steam lines. These valves prevent the from occurring.
